Global derivatives company CMC Markets has appointed Louis Cooper to act as head of its Australian and New Zealand operations.
Cooper’s appointment comes following the departure of Barry Odes, who gave up his position stating that he wishes to expand his career locally in the mainstream financial services industry.
In his time with the company, Cooper was one of the founding members who setup CMC Markets in the UK, and also played a role in establishing a CMC Markets in Australia and New Zealand. Recently, Cooper acted as CMC Markets’ head of distribution.
The company noted that Cooper has over 10 years of experience in business-to-business and retail derivative markets in the United Kingdom and Australia.
CMC Markets Australia and New Zealand also appointed Oliver Scott as chief operating officer and Nikos Enginertan as its head of retail distribution.
CMC Markets is a financial services company which offers securities trading, spread betting, options, listed managed investments, warrants, interest rate securities and CFDs trading.
